Tesseracts Eleven

My science fiction ghost story "Recursion" is still recursing: Cory Doctorow and Holly Phillips have included it in the upcoming anthology Tesseracts Eleven, due this November from EDGE Science Fiction and Fantasy Publishing. Very exciting stuff. However, with this publication, I realized that my lack of decent head shots was now a problem. I'd thought about getting them done before, but, for one excuse or another, I'd never gotten around to it. I knew the one I was using wasn't very good (a friend, not-so-politely, took it upon himself to tell me so), and EDGE asked me (very politely) for one, so I finally had an appropriate fire under my butt. I went to Kimberly Mara of Eclipse Photography, and had my very first solo photoshoot. It was a lot of fun. Kimberly was great and thorough and professional and artistic and I'm very happy with the results. I guess her timing was good, too--she shot the photos before my head started to swell (it's not often I see pictures of myself that I like).
